Das erste Projekt, das seinerzeit auf der PlayStation 3 lief und jetzt auch auf NVIDIA-Grafikkarten unter der Programmiersprache CUDA. Die PS3-Unterstützung wurde mittlerweile aufgegeben und man kann nur noch mit NVidia-Grafikkarten am Projekt teilnehmen.
Eine empfohlene Übersicht an derzeit nutzbaren Grafikkarten kann man hier einsehen. Es ist mind. eine GTX260 zur Teilnahme notwendig, schwächere Karten sind nur noch bedingt nutzbar und wegen ihrer längeren Rechendauer nicht mehr sehr empfehlenswert. Ältere Karten mit dem Chipsatz GT-200 sind noch nutzbar.
Für alle WUs, die innerhalb von 24 Stunden abgeliefert werden, gibt es einen 50% Credit-Bonus!

Was das Projekt tut:
Momentan werden molekulare Experimente durchgeführt, die voll-atomisierte Simulationen des Gramidicin A Ionen Transports beinhaltet.

I apologize for all whose WU's were cancelled today in the process of stopping the old ones and re-sending the new fixed ones.
At the beginning I didn't realize the effect and extend of the cancellation (since it was not intended to work this way), but I see now that many hours of computation and credits were lost due to this.
It seems to have been a bug in a script that had not been seen before until now, so we will refrain from using it until it has been fixed.
I realize that the computation time is very important for everyone so we hope that such hiccups won't happen too often in the future. |
Die Projektleitung entschuldigt sich für die abgebrochenen, laufenden SDOERR-WUs, das im Zuge eines Austausches passierte. Es war nicht auf diesem Wege beabsichtigt und die Folgen, wieviele verlorene Stunden und Credits zusammenkamen, waren nicht kalkuliert.
Scheinbar war ein Bug in einem Script für den WU-Abbruch verantwortlich und es sollte nicht wieder vorkommen. | 15.05.2013, 16:50 Uhr

We are probably merging the two updates at this point and update the applications to support titans and gtx780.
It all depends how long it takes to get gtx780. |
