Server maintenance
Hi all,
The bitcoin server will be up and down over the next hour or so, as I update it to the new version and make some changes that should improve stability. |
Der Bitcoin-Server war für ein Upgrade und verbesserte Stabilität ca. eine Stunde offline.

We are implementing some changes in the server and probably a new application version.
There could be some issues during the updates. |
Es werden einige Änderungen am Server vorgenommen und auch eine neue Anwendungsversion hochgeladen.
Währenddessen kann es evtl. zu (Server)Aussetzern kommen.

Possible solution to not responding server
We have now implemented a little change which should improve the server resilience. It has to be tested in the next days.
It will not solve connections problems due to slow networks but just avoid the need to manually restart it and possibly also reduce the number of times it requires a restart. |
In den nächsten Tagen wird getestet, ob die implementierte Änderung die Serverbelastbarkeit verbessert hat.
Es wird zwar nicht die Verbindungsprobleme wegen des langsamen Netzwerks lösen, aber verhindern, daß manuelle Neustarts nötig sind und dessen Anzahl reduzieren.

Server problems in the past days
We had some problems with the server after a long run without problems.
Now it works, but the causes are not clear.
Remember that d@h is 3 servers in one, so much more complex than a single boinc project. |
In den letzten Tagen gab es wohl ein paar Serverprobleme, die aber wohl schon behoben werden konnten.

Sometime in December the bitcoin network will enter its second reward era. For every block the reward will be 25 BTC instead of 50 BTC as now. The bitcoind exchange has already double since last year probably accounting for that.
It will be interesting to see what happens. Most professional miners will probably desist for a while, and it is likely that we will start solving many more.

Ab Dezember wird es für jeden Block 25 BTC statt 50 BTC geben, weil der Bitcoin-Wechsel sich letztes Jahr verdoppelt hat.
Es dürfte interessant sein, was passiert. Professionelle Miner werden es wahrscheinlich für eine Weile unterlassen, und es wird vermutlich mehr Blocklösungen geben.

Es gibt ein Problem mit dem Dateisystem, das aber bis zum Ende des Tages behoben sein sollte.

The bitcoind of the server crashed and corrupted the data. It will take almost 24 hours to rebuild it, in the meanwhile the project is down. |
Die Daten auf dem Server wurden durch einen Crash beschädigt. Es wird fast 24 Stunden dauern, ihn wiederherzustellen. Bis dahin ist das Projekt down.
